North Woods Wisconsin Lake Wedding
The bride's family has been coming to Wisconsin Lake for generations; however, since this couple met while at St. Andrews, their dream was an Amalfi Coast wedding. Enter 2020's Covid travel restrictions and general choas and the bride and groom pivoted their celebration to their family compound where they could safely gather. Both of these families embodied the spirit of hospitalty and treated me like one of their own. Additionally this couple allowed me complete artistic freedom to cover the events candidly, solo. Stay tuned for the other parties from their lake celebrations. Jacque wore a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier dress and chose to have her bridesmaids wear various floral gowns. The result was playful, colorful summer vibe. As I was scouting the property and chatting with planner George Abrams, I knew I wanted to include the lake as part of the wedding day visusals. Luckily the bride's Uncle volunteered to take us out for a spin after the ceremony. It was refreshing and celebratory and a fun little escape for the couple. One of my favorite moments was the kids wrangling Icarus, the family's mini-Australian Shepard, down the aisle. At the end of the event, everyone agreed that initmate family celebration in a location that is so special has a magical quality that's hard to replicate. Cheers to Jacque and Nick!
