Classic Nantucket Wedding

Mackenzie and Will attended Jane & Scottie's wedding in the Bahamas as guests. I literally ran into Mackenzie in the hotel lobby and started chatting and found out about her blog, Design Darling. I started to follow Mackenize's Instagram feed and when I saw her shopping for wedding gowns, I immediatly reached out. I knew she had classic style I loved. Incidentially, Jane also texted Mackenzie and mentioned that we would be a good fit and the rest is history. I rely heaviliy on word-of-mouth referrals and personal recomendations. My referrals are the strongest client relationships filled with trust and love, which is exactly what happened with Mackenzie and Will. Beyond having great style these two are truly in love and THEY GET IT. They are salt of the earth people and have a close-knit group of friends and incredible supportive families to boot. I enjoyed my time getting to know them better and capturing the beginning of their journey together as a new couple. 

I was overwhelmed by the love within these two families. Mackenzie's family works so well together...you should've seen them pulling the welcome party together stringing lights, painting doors, making side dishes, fluffling pillows. The Horan's raised kids who genuinely care for one another and treat their grandmother and parents with love and respect. They are a family that laughs together. Will family was so gracious and charming. His mom planned the most perfect rehearsal dinner and baked some of her signature cookies with the wedding monogram on top. They raised a kind, smart and generous man. I had so much fun that I forgot it was work. Because my mother is a native Bostonian, I've vacationed all my life in Cape Cod; however, Nantucket is in another league. There is just something special about that little island. I was thrilled to make the trip twice: once for their sailboat engagement session and again for the wedding weekend. It goes without saying that we would love to go back. Everything from this wedding was darling. We love you Mackenzie and Will and I look forward to following all your future adventures on your blog.
