Rehearsal Dinner at the Chanticleer Nantucket

Will and Mackenzie (from Design Darling) got married on Nantucket the Saturday of Labor Day weekend in September. We loved that they chose to have their rehearsal dinner on Thursday night vs the typical Friday night. Two reasons we love this 1) it allowed them a day to 'recover' from the rehearsal and get to bed early on Friday night and 2) the bridal party came to Nantucket early and enjoyed some special time before the rest of the guests arrived for the welcome party on Friday night. 

Mackenzie's parents hosted their rehearsal dinner at the same restaurant 31 years ago! We love heritage, history and family legacy. After the rehearsal in the chapel, Mackenzie and Will walked a few blocks around Nantucket with the bridesmaids and groomsmen to the wedding reception location so everyone would be familiar with the route. This was a FABULOUS idea for the visuals. It allowed the photo and video team to capture real moments around the cutest part of Nantucket and we also "learned the route" for the wedding day. Smart move, Mackenie. Then we walked back to The Chanticleer, a charming little French restaurant in ‘Sconset. 

Mackenzie and Will hosted an outdoor cocktail hour followed by dinner in the main dining room with all our nearest and dearest family and friends.

We are suckers for beautiful monogrammed napkins and I loved how Will's mom did a variety of monograms on each table, which the bride and groom will get to use in the future. Great idea! 

We loved Mackenie's MDS gown because, well, it's different and perfect for Nantucket.
