Santa Fe Wedding at the Four Seasons
We loved traveling to Santa Fe for a destination wedding at the Four Seasons. Jaclyn & Blake knew they wanted a location where their guests could stay, relax, and party in one place and Santa Fe fit the bill. The Four Seasons Santa Fe Rancho Encantado was a perfect fit for their venue because it's not too small and not too large. It has a rustic feel but is also just a ten minute drive to downtown Santa Fe. Jaclyn is a very talendted creative and she dreamed up so many charming southwest details for her wedding weekend. One of our favorites was a giant cactus "escort card" display which greeted the guests at the cocktail hour. Jaclyn remembered a super cool cactus wall from the hotel Masseria Cimino in Italy. It was from that minimal and geometric inspiration that she design the dance floor, blind emboss invitation suite and the WILLBRAND (Blake's last name) monogram for the napkins, stirs and welcome baskets. The guest-created a "love rock cross" at the rehearsal dinner which was mounted in their "chapel," the hotel restaurant reinvented by Florographiy flowers. n lieu of a guest book, guests signed well wishes on traditional tin milagros ornaments. The chapel was flooded with candlelight and the flickering of warm a fireplace. The back wall held a hanging floral display and their love rock cross was mounted above the fireplace. Small Tourquise Wish bracelets were wrapped around the wedding program as a gift for all the guests. In the words of the bride, the moment she saw the ceremony was "pure magic filled with all of the people that make our hearts the most happy."
Jaclyn's bridesmaids picked their own dresses. The bride sent them teal paint swatches and had them pick a dress they loved. According to the bride, "It was nice to see their different personalities in their selections and most importantly it helped everyone really feel comfortable and beautiful. Nothing is worse than a bridesmaid dress you don't feel good in, right?!? And now seeing the photos in all the shades of teal is so beautiful. It's was a chic look that would have been impossible to plan." One of the couple's favorite moments happed right before dinner was served. All the guests hopped up to dance to Ain't No Mountain High Enough. We loved the custom southwest dance floor, which was understated but beautiful. Jaclyn and Blake's wedding was classic Santa Fe but with meaningful contributions from the couple and guests.
